This week -- More on Climate
and Atmosphere of Poland -
Climate here is more or less
normal to our Hill Station Climates with temp around 5 C ( atleast when
i reached here!!)
People kept telling that just two
weeks ago, it was heavy snowstorm and it was all white everywhere. Roads
were filled with snow for atleast 1 feet & its was very difficult to
walk in such a cold conditions those days( as if its very warm out here
today!!).
I have to walk for atleast
1 KM to reach my office from my flat. The town (I call it Village) in which
i stay is "Twardogora".Here I should tell few words about this Polish Language.
There is no Q,V in this Language, instead they have 3 z, 2 L, 2 e, 2 o,etc..
The nearest city at a distance
of 40KM is Wroclaw (No! No!, its not WROCLAW, its wrotswaw.. because c=ts
and l = w in polish.. If you think this is crazy, so do I. But you are
in a better position than me, so I cannot laugh on it. Similar experiences
are a lot and i really find this language funny (Ofcourse Not everytime!!).
When last week, I went to
a french couple's house, they were kept on speaking in Polish, because
they cant speak in english fluently. When they asked whether i could understand
anything, I proudly said " I will learn polish in another month". Amist
laugh they said " We were speaking in French".. Hey!! I was just kidding.
Actually nothing of these sorts happened so far, but i expect it to happen
very soon.
People are very respectful
and helpful always to new people (except the drunken guy who knocked the
door at early morning last sunday and said something repeatedly in
polish and unrecognizable english with ultimate Kingfisher Scent on him!!).Life
in Poland is really cool especially when you are surrounded by more than
6 ladies in office , OK OK before you kick-up your imagination, I would
like to say that average age of them is around 35.. and all are in Personnel
dept.. SO if i had hurt you in any way, please forgive me..
I have got more to write but due
to limited space, i am winding up with this..
PS:
People who expected the cookery
stuff please pardon me, because I never used cooker this week hence not
so interesting this week.Also many requested me to write about people and
climte.

got it right this time) continued....
